Today the local Surfrider chapter had their Free Surf Clinic and Beach Sweep to go with International Surfing Day this Monday. Mark and the Surf City boys brought the boards down and we had a great turnout and great little waves for the kids to learn on! We started with a quick beach sweep from the Island Vista up to 67th Ave. and then got the kids going! These kids had a lot of fun and quite a few had never been on a board before. Thanks to all that came out and supported Surfrider and had some fun!!! Link to a slideshow is at bottom of post. enjoy......

Sea Island
After a little paddle around this morning sliding and slipping all over the knee high leftovers we had. I thought my day was done before going to work later on tonight. Blair called, said fun waves were to be had for Sea Island and so I made my way down to capture some of their antics. The boys were joined by Keenan, they had fun and I slowly cooked in the sun! enjoy......
Here's Blair!!!
I'd like to introduce you to Blair Wheeler. Blair is a local here in Myrtle Beach and works for Mark Allison at Surf City and rides for him too. When not tossing buckets on his white diamond, he can be found providing financial support to Subway and loaded on double shot coffee. The Kid's caffeinated for sure!!! Word has it he loves cats!!!! hehehehehe

Sunday morning Pawleys Island
We drove down to Pawleys this morning and had fun little waves in the thigh high range. Blair had some fun at the groins after we had muddled through the south inlet for about an hour. Loaded with coffee, speeding through little sections, there were fun waves to be had!!
