The crowd just kept building as the night went on
So we have a little oktoberfest here at the beach on the Boulevard.  G-Love and Special Sauce plus Galactic head-lining this shin-dig!!!  My day got started with Lera Lynn, shot for a while then ran home to send off some pics.  Got back in time to catch Yo Mama's Big Fat Booty Band.  Cool funk that made ya move!!! G-Love came next, and all I can say is WOW!!!!  All the festivities were great and benefited the Special Olympics.  Whole Lotta brats, maybe a little kraut, and plenty o' bru-ha.  I'll be posting a couple more times with pics from G-Love and Special Sauce, as well as Galactic.

International Surfing Day

Today the local Surfrider chapter had their Free Surf Clinic and Beach Sweep to go with International Surfing Day this Monday.  Mark and the Surf City boys brought the boards down and we had a great turnout and great little waves for the kids to learn on!  We started with a quick beach sweep from the Island Vista up to 67th Ave. and then got the kids going!  These kids had a lot of fun and quite a few had never been on a board before.  Thanks to all that came out and supported Surfrider and had some fun!!!  Link to a slideshow is at bottom of post.  enjoy......

GAP's Taste of five points fundraiser

Over the past few years I've had the opportunity to take part in GAP's different art shows/ fundraiser's.  They have all been succesful in showing that Myrtle Beach is more than just the "redneck riviera" and does have an artscene. Global Awareness Project had their spring fling called a Taste of Five Points downtown l.  It was a great night in a spot called Drink!  Another awesome turnout and support for GAP's ongoing projects to create awareness and promote different non-profits from the area.
